Summer Reading

6/3/2016 12:56 am

A message from ROBINSON SEC on June 12, 2017
This summer, the Robinson community will continue the One Book, One School reading initiative. Faculty, staff, and students will read together over the summer, and come back in the fall with a common book to discuss. This meaningful summer assignment will encourage reading, serve as a culture-building activity, and open a conversation among students, faculty, and staff for discussion and activities in the fall.

Rising 7th and 8th grade students will read Fish in a Tree, by Linda Mullaly Hunt

Rising 9th through 12th grade students will read Break These Rules: 35 YA Authors on Speaking Up, Standing Out, and Being Yourself, Edited by Luke Reynolds

The local branches of the Fairfax County Public Library, in addition to, the Fair Lakes Barnes and Noble have been made aware that Robinson will be reading this book and they will be increasing their supply. Additionally, both books can be found on Amazon!
